American Elementary through High School


An American college preparatory curriculum school based on the Common Core standards (originating in America) incorporating specialized physical education through the optional use of Dubai Sports City Academies campus, Bradenton Prep admits students from kindergarten to grade 11. Grade 12 will be added in subsequent years according to the school’s website. Upon graduation, students are awarded an American High School diploma. Bradenton Prep opened in 2009 with 132 students in grades pre-KG to grade 9.
Location
The school is located in Dubai Sports City, just off the Al Khail roundabout, and near the Arabian Ranches, Victory Heights and Motor City.
Who runs the school?
The school is privately owned, and is administered by a board that comprises prominent business members with a keen interest and expertise in developing sport. The head of the school is Dr. Michael Gemma, and Jeanette Hutchinson is the elementary coordinator.

What facilities does the school offer?
The purpose-built campus consists of a modern group of buildings. Each age level, early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school has its own building. Additional buildings provide venues for art, music, drama, the laboratory sciences and the library. A full size gym allows for both physical education and competitive sporting ventures.
The large classrooms are equipped with interactive white boards, computer connectivity, built-in storage, and movable desks and chairs. The rooms are illuminated with natural light from a full bank of windows.
What is the school’s philosophy?
As an international school following an American educational philosophy, Bradenton Prep develops students to be fully prepared for their future life choices. Students are encouraged to be critical thinkers, problem solvers, and creative individuals. The school says that their students have a sense of social responsibility, fair play, and integrity.
According to the school, Bradenton Preparatory Academy provides students with challenging academics, develops their critical thinking, and allows for their personal artistic and athletic development. This is accomplished within a framework of shared rights and responsibilities.
Admissions requirements
Bradenton Prep Academy Dubai year runs from September to June. Students can apply during the academic year if they have followed the same curriculum; otherwise the final admission date is 15th of November.
Admission into Bradenton Prep Academy is subject to the following:

The current school’s curriculum
School reports, if necessary this might be followed by an assessment or interview
The school year that the student has completed
Each student must be fluent in English
BPA assessments results
BPA class visit evaluation
Please be advised that Bradenton Prep Academy Dubai follows the KHDA regulations and this may impact grade level assignment for a student.
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED UPON REGISTRATION:
2 copies of the student’s passport
2 copies of the student’s birth certificate
All Registration Forms completed
School report of the past 2 years, including the last Grade attended and interim reports if still attending current Grade.
If needed, any special testing report for learning difficulties.
A non- refundable Registration fee of Dhs500/-
Student profile questionnaire completed by parent/guardian
DOCUMENTS REQUIRED FOR ADMISSION:
2 copies of the student’s residence visa
If the visa is under process: a letter from sponsor is required stating that the visa is under process and a passport copy of the student with the UAE entry stamp.
Original transfer certificate (see transfer certificate notes)
Completed Medical Form and Immunizations record
Declaration of school use of internet service
8 passport-sized photographs of the student
Admission fee of Dhs2000/- this is non-refundable if not attending
Fees
Non-refundable registration fees: Dhs500
Admission fee: Dhs2000 (non-refundable if the student does not attend, otherwise deducted from the third installment of tuition)
Caution fee: Dhs1500 (see below)
Medical fee: Dhs500 non-refundable
Annual fees start at Dhs30,000 for pre-K students, going up to Dhs70, 790 for grades 9 to 12.

Hi,
My son is finishing 12 grade this year in Toronto, Canada. He is joining me after that, here in Dubai.
He would like to applied for pilot college but he do not have 11 and 12 year of physic.
Is it possible to do it in your school starting in September 2012 with some others courses.
