Admissions requirements
Step 1: Enquiry
To request an appointment to tour the school, please call tel. (04) 360 8830, ext. 100 / 101 / 103, or send an email request to: registrar@risdubai.com.
During the tour, a school representative will show you the facilities highlighting areas of special interest to you and your child(ren).
The school will answer your queries regarding documents required year/age level, fee structure, policy, etc.
The school will issue you a School Brochure, Admission Information, and Application Form. These forms can also be downloaded online. http://www.risdubai.com/Admission_Procedure.aspx
Step 2: Application Submission
Parents must submit the completed and signed Admission Information together with a payment of a non-refundable Application Fee of Dhs.500/- in order for an application to be processed and placed on the waitlist.
Parents who are out of the country can scan the completed application and email it as one PDF file to: registrar@risdubai.com to start the process but please note that you are required to submit/courier the original Application Forms (which will replace the scanned/faxed application).
The following documents must be sent together with the Application Form:-
· Copy of Student’s Birth Certificate
· Copy of Student’s Passport
· Copy of Sponsor’s Passport Student’s 4 Coloured Photos
· Copy of Student’s previous School Report
The following documents can be submitted prior to start of class:-
· Original Transfer Certificate (Year 2 onwards)
· Copy of Vaccination & Immunisation Record
NOTE: To ease the registration process, please ensure that you bring copies of the above mentioned documents requested as the school will not be able to photocopy your documents.
Once a space from the school’s waitlist becomes available, the admission team will contact parents of the prospective students to bring their child in for an Assessment. Parents will be required to pay a non-refundable Assessment Fee of Dhs.500/-.
Foundation (FS1) and Reception (FS2) students will have an informal assessment. Students entering Years 1 and up will be formally assessed in English and Maths.
English must be at a satisfactory level to pass assessment.
Once a student passes the Assessment, the Admission Team will contact the parents to formally offer the place and parents will be required to pay the non-refundable Acceptance & Confirmation Fee of Dhs.500/-. This fee will be deducted from the Term’s Tuition Fee.
Step 3: Admission and Enrolment
Student enrolment is subject to approval from the UAE Ministry of Education.
A student’s placement in a year group depends on the Transfer Certificate submitted to the Admission Office as well as the student age appropriateness.
Students entering a grade from Year 2 and up must submit a Transfer Certificate. Please refer to the Admission Information for details regarding Transfer Certificates.
