Delhi Private School (DPS), Dubai, established in 2003, is a branch of the acclaimed Delhi Public School Society , New Delhi, India. The school is a private, co-educational day school that offers a holistic learning programme for students of KG I to 12. DPS Dubai ensures a high quality education for the diverse, expatriate community in the UAE. At present, the student strength is 3200 approximately. The school follows the Indian curriculum, offering the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) with a centrally controlled examination for students of grades 11 and 12.

The Delhi Public Schools (known as Delhi Private School in the Gulf), are a chain of premier schools in India, first established in 1949. What facilities/programmes does the school offer?

D.P.S. Dubai provides academic and non academic facilities to ensure the holistic development of all students. • Theme Based Calendar
The school event calendar comprises of theme based months seeking to integrate learning. Students make presentations on these themes during special assemblies. 100% participation ensures that each student gains confidence and grows in self esteem as a result.
• Aesthetics Clubs

• Morning Activities – Selected students are provided intensive coaching in all major games/sports from 6:30 am to 7:30 am to prepare them for inter school competitions

READ Program

READ, an innovative program, aims at encouraging amongst students a love for reading besides providing bonding time with the parents. Contemporary, age appropriate literature is thoughtfully selected for every grade. Students read the same book at the same time followed by discussions and other related activities.
Inter-School Competitions
Participation in Inter-School competitions enables students to prove their mettle by competing on a larger platform. With this in view annual events like the Talent Tap and 6-Aside Girls Cricket Tournament are initiatives taken by the school. Students with special aptitudes are trained for prestigious events like the Model UN Program, Rock Challenge and CBSE Sports Meet, both in the UAE and India.
Admissions Requirements
The main criteria for admission is a student’s performance in the academic and co-curricular arena and merit. The applicant should fill in the registration form and enclose it with the documents asked for. The date for the receipt and submission of the form is mentioned therein.
The age of the child should be 3 plus as on 15 April of the particular year of admission for admission to KG I class.
At the time of registration for admission the following documents need to be submitted:
A photocopy of the birth certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation
A photocopy of the student’s valid passport, with a valid residence visa stamp or fresh valid entry permit.
Three recent passport size photographs.
Transfer certificate duly attested by the Educational Zone.
Students from outside Emirates – The Transfer Certificate has to be attested by the Ministry of Education in India, Foreign Affairs in India & U.A.E. Embassy OR Ministry of Education in India, Indian Embassy in U.A.E. & U.A.E. Foreign Affairs

Note :- In case, if the above criteria is not met by 2%, students will be only considered if he/she has at least 75% in that particular subject.
The above criteria are only for the registration of the child. Admission will be based on fulfilling the criteria and passing the internal admission test as well as an interview.
Withdrawals
One month’s written notice of intention of withdrawal is to be submitted to the school authorities.
The completed withdrawal form along with a fee of Dhs. 15 towards the Transfer Certificate is to be submitted to the school office after the letter of intent.

Fees
Dhs 8100 annually for KG1 up to Dhs11,340 annually for grades 11 and 12.
