What is the school’s philosophy?
The school website says in the Principal’s message: “At Dubai Modern High School the essence of education is ‘celebration of the life of a child’. Attaining academic prowess is not the only goal we have envisioned for our pupils.
Every child is encouraged to take pride in his individuality and to think, as well as, act without the fear of being humiliated or admonished. Our aim is to ensure that intellect and talent are orchestrated in order to enhance the child’s self worth so that he will hold his head high and contribute to the society in a positive way.
However, a child’s self esteem is as precious to his well being as his regard for others. We endeavour to instil humility and respect in our pupils to enable them to recognise the worth of those around them. Though academic success is our priority, it is not our sole focus. We believe in grooming our students for life – in making them sentient human beings imbued with a heightened awareness of their surroundings.”

The annual Musical is presented alternately by the Primary and Senior School, giving both younger and older children exposure and a chance to shine in the limelight.
One-Act Plays and Dramas are scripted by our students themselves, who have gone on to participate and win at International School Competitions in the UAE.
