Nursery School

The Cooper Nursery incorporates the Reggio Emilia philosophy in its approach to the care and education of children. The nursery offers three programmes: Birth to Three Matters, for babies aged four months to toddlers aged three years, Foundation Stage Profile, for three to five year olds and a Special Needs Individual programme based on individual assessments.
Location
The nursery is on Street 29 in Al Safa 2 of the Jumeirah area in Dubai.
Curriculum
The nursery encourages exploration and discovery by providing an environment that invites exploration and problem solving, often in small groups, where cooperation and discussion are encouraged.
The Reggio Emilia philosophy is approached through play based activities. Teachers provide a stimulating environment, allowing children to have control over the direction of their learning.
Children are given the opportunity to learn through the experiences of touching, moving, listening, seeing and hearing. They are also encouraged to build relationships with other children and recognize that they are social beings embedded within a family, community and culture.
Children are given the opportunity to express themselves and are seen as learners within a community of learners. Family involvement and the involvement of community members in the life of the school is valued.
Facilities
The preschool centre offers the following:
• State-of-the-art sensory room.
• Art studio.
• Learning Resource Centre with interactive software.
• A gym for PE, music and movement.
• Play areas inside and outside.
•A covered garden with sand and water activities, physical play equipment and garden play areas with a cycle track.

I’m very interested in enrolling my son whos going to turn 1 year next October… I want to enroll him when he turns 1 year for 4 days a week (Sunday-Wednesday) but the problem is that I finish work at 5 and I cant leave before that as I’m a radio presenter and my show finishes at 5 pm, I work in “Media City” so it will take me around 20 mins. to get to the nursery. Does it have to be at EXACTLLY 5pm or can the teacher wait with him untill I pick him up? Also when is the best time to enroll him since I want him to join the nursery next October??
Waiting anxiously for your reply!
