Nursery School


The Kensington Nursery offers a foundation in education through the British curriculum delivered with a Reggio Emilia approach. The nursery accepts children from the age of four months to four and a half years of age and is open from 7.30am to 6pm, offering full and half day options with a nutritious meals programme, holiday camps and a safe transport service.

Babies
A secure yet stimulating environment where the qualified team focuses on stimulating the five senses in accordance with the stages of a child’s development. Key milestone developments are monitored and curiosity and confidence encouraged with age appropriate activities.

The Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum is applied to make use of creativity, exploration and imagination through a diverse and structured programme to help children broaden their communicative, social, cognitive and self-help skills.

After school
These activities are designed to provide the children with a balanced and harmonious day. At the end of the school day, children are encouraged to rest and relax and if they wish, to take an afternoon nap in their personal sleeping pod. Once refreshed, there is time to enjoy a structured yet entertaining play time. Tea is served at 4pm and as the children wind down for the evening, they enjoy stories and reflective time.

Facilities
Speciality areas for the children include an Interactive technology centre, Majlis language room, Art attack room, Music room, Imagination zone and Soft play area.The outdoor ‘classroom’ contains child-friendly plants, shrubs incorporating a changing environment using different equipment on different days of the week. Here there is a petting zone and a skill play zone as well as a children’s garden for them to grow and tend to their own plants plus a sensory garden area full of colours and textures to explore.

To fill in a preliminary enquiry form, go to www.thekensingtonnursery.com/registration.aspx <http://www.thekensingtonnursery.com/registration.aspx>Required documents include a copy of the child’s passport and UAE residence visa, a copy of the child’s birth certificate, a copy of the child’s immunization record, six passport size photos, a completed medical form together with the annual medical fee of Dhs500 and a copy of the child’s sponsor’s passport and UAE residence visa.
Fees
Range from Dhs7000 per term for babies requiring two days a week (half days) up to Dhs 10,500 per term for preschoolers requiring five days a week from 7.30am to 6pm.Fees are inclusive of meals, ie breakfast and a mid-morning snack, those attending up to 1pm and beyond receive lunch. Students on a full day curriculum also receive afternoon tea.All students are required to pay a Dhs500 non-refundable registration fee and upon confirmation of acceptance, a Dhs1000 deposit which is refunded when your child leaves the school.
