The Royal Beach Nursery is an education and day care centre for children from the ages of 2 months to 4 years. The nursery follows the British National Early Years foundation stage curriculum to provide children with a great start and support their transition to ‘big school’. The Royal Beach Nursery is open through the year, from 8am until 8pm. The school makes it a particular mission to constantly evaluate the educational methods being developed throughout Europe and the rest of the world. This allows it to adapt its own pedagogical system and keep up with the latest methodologies and developments in early childhood education.
The nursery is located in Jumeirah 3, on Al Sagi Street, off Jumeirah Road and behind the Liberty Medical Centre, opp Emirates Islamic Bank. For a location map, go to www.rbnursery.net
Royal Beach Nursery offers a curriculum based on the EYFS philosophy. Classrooms are designed to accommodate the following areas of learning:
Personal, Social and Emotional Development
Considered essential to learning because the nursery feels that children need to be self-confident in order to flourish in other areas. Royal Beach children learn to respect themselves, others and our environment.
Problem solving and numeracy
Children at Royal Beach are taught to count to ten and beyond, to identify basic shapes and patterns, to recognize basic mathematical terms.
Royal Beach children are encouraged to develop their imagination and explore sights, sounds, smells and textures.
Communication, language and literacy
Speaking, writing and reading are taught at the nursery as the vital components of communication development and language skills.
Knowledge and understanding of the world
Royal Beach children are taught to develop an understanding of other countries, cultures and living things.
Gross motor skills are encouraged and developed in order to control muscles, coordination and balance.
